Philladelphia

So we got to Philladelphia two hours and 30 mins later. Had to drive through the city to get our cheese steak. Driving through the city was a thrill...but miss "know it all" navigation system was still yapping and me and my friends were screaming at her each time she said "Recalculating"............

She (navigation system)  must have taken us round this particular bend like three times.....Would have chucked her out the window Padraig if we knew our way around :D.......lol.

But the city is beautiful...te architecture is amazing, but my friend who is an architect doesn't think so.

Philladelphia as most of you know is a great landmark of American history.

Great pic, Ada. I love the tones and all the different styles of architecture. Smiling at your continued adventures of the nav system. smile

LOL! Ada that is so right on. Wait til you go to Hawaii. It's fun getting the GPS to say street names that are Hawaiian. The pronounciation is awful, and it really makes us laugh.

Love you shot here. Philly is a big town - I've never been there, but hear a lot about it.
Ada Emihe: lol....Your story cracked me up. I definitely have to use a navigation system in Hawai!!! I would be laughing the whole time.
You captured the busy and crowded city life very well.
And I don't know much about American history ;-(
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Gina. I could write a thesis on American History....They like literarilly pour it into your head in school...sheesh.
It certainly looks an interesting place to go to Ada
Ada Emihe: Yes Chris it has alot of interesting sites...Thank you so much.

Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Draw. She is really good at what she does. I think the fact that she is an artist adds to it (She paints). She is into photography too......

If this was taken trough the windscreen of the car then you did a wnderful job, the range of tones are excellent. Only ever driven around Philly - looks like there is a lot of character.
Ada Emihe: Yes BG...it was taken from the windscreen of the car. Thank you so much for liking.
Great use of b&w and under pressure from the sat nav too! It just needs a tiny bit of straightening for me.
Ada Emihe: Yes Bill....I do agree it needs a little straightening. I did send you a message on your contact form. I was asking you for the straightening sofware you use grin, did you get it?..... Thank you so much for liking,,,,
Wow, this looks a stunning city architecturaly, Ada. I can see that you were on your knees photographing cats eyes at the time but this is a great view. Excellent composition and the buildings are pretty square on here.
Ada Emihe: Lol Chad....how did you know about the cats eyes? Thank you so much for liking Chad.

Wow, an impressive pic of this megacity! Combining your funny descpription and the pic taken from the car I have the feeling to be in the midst of the traffic bustle! A dream of mine to visit the USA! 'Philly' is a sweet name for this city, the Greek name 'Philadelphia' really a too long, complicated word for daily use! I hope you will show us more pics of your exciting day out!
Ada Emihe: Yes Philline the traffic was inevitable, but wasn't too bad. You should visit....Come to New york...goody!!! Thank you so much Philine for liking.
Not feeling this image 100% but it's aight, what do we know? grin
Ada Emihe: lol...I'm sure you know alot S&S......your comments have been missed! Thank you guys.
Although it looks great in your picture. I think, architecturally, Philadelphia is not one of the best cities in The States.
Ada Emihe: What do I know Albert....I know nothing about architecture. If it has enough space in it, I love it :p....Thank you Albert
Looks almost nice enough to be in Europe wink
Ada Emihe: lol...I agree with you Ian...I have been to a couple of places in Europe and I am yet to find places as beautiful as europe in the United States.
