I have ridden with a coworker who has a GPS in her car. I for one am not fond of the GPS voice--sounds just a little snotty to me. But then I am a map person.

Hey, a cheese steak sandwich is worth the drive! Do we get a picture of it? smile
Ada Emihe: I can't read a map to save my life Larry. Lol...the GPS voice does sound snotty. A man with a different opinion...I like. grin

LOL! Chuck it out of the window then! Or keep the GPS, change the voice and chuck the boyfriend! Sounds a bit of trek for a sandwich, though; no Subways close by? smile
Ada Emihe: Lol. I love your comment Alan...My boyfriend wont be too happy if I chuck him out the window....he wont be too happy either if I chuck the GPS out the window...Whatever shall I do. Trust me Alan...a cheese steak sandwich is no subway sandwich,,,,

Finally someone invented something to make men ask for directions...lol...

Love the capture and your description is so funny.
Ada Emihe: I know right...they never asked for directions. But they do overdo it with this system. A friend of mine still doesn't know the way to his own apartment. He uses the bloddy gadget till this day.
Very good Ada - I would personally travel a long way for a good sandwich
Ada Emihe: I agree Chris...well worth it. grin
I think this excellent and terrific and b and w.

... er umm I was er umm wondering if that was a piece of underwear that the satnav is resting on ;-)
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Richard...glad you like. lol...that is no underwear..lol....but your joke made us laugh for a good 20 mins.
Supern photograph, Ada. This is the United States equivalent of Bill Phillips' Bacon buttie place. I have not visited either but perhaps in time.
Ada Emihe: Yes Chad you definitely have to....It's well worth it.
I have always wanted mine to say..at the end of the road turn left, then, you are on your own!"

Having spent 30 odd years on the road as a rep with street map in one hand trying to find a customer, I wish these had been around years ago!
Ada Emihe: Tat was funny Bill.....if it said that I would have a fit. Well they are around now...so I am guessing it's a good thing.

Good photograph Ada and I hope the steak was worth the trip! Just for the record I turn the voice "off" on my satnav. Perhaps he just likes being told what to do ;o)
Ada Emihe: lol....yeah seems like he likes being told what to do...lol. Thank you for liking Blackdog.
Fine take us there. I like the idea. On the other hand the voice in the machine can all but compete with you. I'm sure your boyfriend prefers to listen to your sensible words.
Ada Emihe: Hmmmmm I will ask him...lol. Thank you Albert.

You, compete with this thing...its an outrage!!!!chuck the bloody thing out of the window!! they take all the romance out of travelling, can you imagine Jack Kerouac with one of these, I prefer a map or even to guess,I love going off the beaten track or and even getting lost, I spent the best part of two years driving and hitchhiking around the US and I'd have missed most of the good stuff if I'd had one of these infernal devices.
Ada Emihe: lol...Thank you PADRAIG. I knew you had my back. I can't chuck it out the window though, whatever will my boy friend do? I am glad you didn't miss out on all the good stuff. I am thinking of backpacking through Europe....maybe next year.

No No No Ada, I beg to differ on this one smile

Am hoping the next generation of GPS systems are incorporated with a Rosario Dawson or Jessica Biel voice over smilesmile Or even great if they could be on screen giving directions smile So if we ended up 20 miles off course or at the bottom of a ditch for taking the wrong second left turn at the round about, then wifey would have someone else to blame other than me smilesmile

So how was the Philli cheese steak? Sounds real juicy, and do we get to see a picture of it smile
Ada Emihe: lol....Ahhhhh Fotog, why now. So you are one of them. You even want to make it worse! Jessican Biel and Rosario Dawson ke.....That's an outrage!!!!!!!!
hmmmm, a picture of the sandwich,....who knows!
yo creo que el "gps" me ha reedirecionado de nuevo a la pagina, smile.

un salduo
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much un mar de calma....pls come again.

Ada, I have to say it's the other way around for me. I prefer to hear the woman's voice. But Gary prefers the man's voice.

I look forward to this drive to Philly and the pics you take. smile
Ada Emihe: Lol. I absolutely hate the womans voice.....Gary is different then. Most guys I know would rather hear the womans voice, Gary is one of the few out there, I guess...lol...Thank you so much Kay.
Liking this capture, love the idea behind it :d
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Guys...glad you likey
Very original shot and yes, it's remind me the so unsexy voice in the taxis I take coming back home : "a 200m, tournez à droite...A 50m, tournez à droite....tournez à droite" Arrrgh
I love the depth of field and the conversion.. fantastic shot!

I hope things have been going well in that "little dark room" of yours LOL.
