photoblog image DISTURBIA

DISTURBIA

I've had this potrait sitting in my archive for a long time..............too long even. Didn't quite like. This is a photoblog and I need your honest opinions. I love her expression...borders on insanity.
I love this time and what not; I get to put up stuff from the ol archives.

I at least can tell you that the title is perfect, Ada! grin The processing does it justice! And now you can get all that "negative energy" out of your unassigned bin. grin
Ada Emihe: lOL....Hope it didn't scare you Ginnie....lol. Thank you

"Disturb ya"--yes. It disturbs me. But I keep going back to it, without quite knowing why. I work with persons who are mentally challenged, and I think that may be part of the reason this picture intrigues me.

Kudos for taking the picture and more kudos for posting it despite your reservations. It encourages me to be experimental, too.

I have always been jealous of the folks who could make the fish-face. sad smile
Ada Emihe: So sorry Larry...lol.Hope it's not too disturbing. Can't wait to see what you come up with. I am so sure you can make the fish face. It's so easy.
Reminds me of the joker in Batman! Honest opinion is that it is not my cup of tea but whatever you do don't stop trying different things
Ada Emihe: lol...it sure does. The joker is a really scary character. Thanks for commenting.
How did you manage to get her to assume this pose? :p you must be a very persuasive photographer!

I agree with Bill on this... it does remind me of Joker. I like the criss-cross lines you've got going there. I just wonder what it would've looked like in color.
Ada Emihe: lol...I used jazzz Abisola. You want to see the color? No problem.
I think this is a great picture, but yes, she looks completely unhinged. I like the creased or fractured effect. Reminds me of Edward Scissorhands.
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Ian...Edwrd Scissorhands? That's a huge compliment to me. grin

I think it is a good picture Ada - but I would be more worried about the model being after my blood for posting it!

Scarier than the Rhianna video!
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Blackdog....Hope it didn't scare u too much? lol.....

Its great, I love the scratchy lines and curious how you did that.
its definately good to post stuff your not sure about, I often get it completely wrong and find the stuff I was unsure about gets a better response than some of the shot I thought were better.

It reminds me of bladerunner
Ada Emihe: will be happy to give you that information......lemme know.
lol
well executed smile
Ada Emihe: thanks so much buddy..sorry for the late reply. hope u are good

I wonder what was in this image that you didn't like. If I take this one, it will be on shutter the minute I finished working on it. smile
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much VZ.....I am glad you like. You like right? lol....So sorry for the late reply, my exams are taking all my time. My dad left today, I am a little sad, but it's all good. smile.....thank you.

This is a great picture...arrrrr....just love it, she does have the attitude; I am who I am...so????

Love the processing.
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Astrid. I am so glad you like it...
Highly powerful. Like a lot other picturesof yours. I had a wander through your archive and I can understand why you are so respected in this community.
Ada Emihe: AWWW....that is such a huge comment Albert. I am so humbled by your comment. Thank you so much. Sorry for the late reply, I am currently taking exams and my work load is so much. I did wander through you archive. Love your work and I have some questions for you.
Well - the model is expressionless but mocking, Ada. The slash-marks all over the composition certainly give a feeling of someting out of control
No need to be humbled. As far as I It was adescription rather than an opinion.
You said you had some questions for me. Anytime, I'll be more than pleased to answer them.
