photoblog image Dreaded Pathway

Dreaded Pathway

The Path is strewn with weeds that look so threatening

The flowers look down and wouldn't dare fall

The beauty on the other side we will never know

We won't even try, because we are too afraid to cry .  ................................

Life situations sometimes live us with shock we never recover from. We are all too afraid to take risks or take a chance. Truth is we all have to put one foot in front of the other to get to our destination. We can only do this by the grace of God and help from loved ones.

Step on that dreaded path and get to the other side.....

Your words are encouraging, Ada, and your image, even though weedy, I find reassuring. It helps to believe that even the difficult paths have flowers along the way.
Ada Emihe: Thanks so much Larry...I am glad it made an impact on you.

You have no idea how much wisdom is in your words and image, Ada! Sometimes we see through a glass darkly but still need to take that step....
Ada Emihe: Thanyou so much Ginnie...I am blushing..Thank you for your kind words.

There's a menace in this image, a sense of foreboding....

I like the dark side. So many possibilities smile

lovely symbolism lovely shot. mal
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much mal//////I am glad you appreciate this.
Interesting set of comments to this, Ada. Life is a path and we do not know what is round the corner, like in your photograph. At this low viewpoint the garden is like a forest and that is where people thought of terrifying stories. I am really impressed with this.
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Chad...I like your thoughts on this and I am absolutely chuffed that you are impressed.
I like because it is a good picturesmile
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Nigel...coming from you, that's special.

WOW, wonderful photograph and message. I can relate to it so much! (long story, I will spare you the details, but I was on this path last year and kept walking to the other side)
Ada Emihe: Thankyou so much Suri. We all get it right eventually.
Keep walking and everything will be ok
Ada Emihe: Certainly Chris...Certainly. Thankyou.

A weed is a flower in disguise. They are not threatening and both the flowers and the weeds know that. I used to wonder. the difference in a weed and a flower. Now I know there is no difference.

I find manmade paths that are followed by the masses a bit boring. The weeds here are what make this path a little more alluring.

I'd think it takes much more courage to step off the "dread path" and make your own way. Who knows what you might discover about both yourself and the world.
Ada Emihe: I love your perspective Kathryn....a weed is not that cruel looking. It's beauty lies within i think. Thank you for your words Kathryn. Hope I see you on here more often......Visited your blog...very nice. Your images have depth to them.
The longest journey starts with a single step. This pathway is probably not as bad as it seems...things seldom are
Ada Emihe: words of wisdom Bill...Thank you.

Wonderful softness and message, Ada. Something everyone needs to hear at one time or another.
Ada Emihe: Thank you so much Kay. I remind myself most of the time. We need to stay on the positive path.

It's a pity Blackdog isn't posting at the moment. He has a nice line in this kind of melancholy. Take a look at his archive.
Ada Emihe: I visited his blog...I loved it, awesome stuff. Thank you Ian.
