It's that time when you try new things and see what you come up with. I draw and paint a bit, and he (up there) wanted to see what a more artsy looking, (painting like) photograph looked like. So I took his picture, raised my eyebrow at him, and put the paint brush to work........

I like the pose and expression in his eyes. The "artsy" look works well with this (I know there is a better word than artsy! Hope you know what I mean!) The texture in his hair is lovely too. Quite a handsome young man!

I think the expression and pose is quite natural, and really works. There's an interest factor here that I like a lot.

A white shirt against a black background is compositionally strong and means that all the interest is in the face and the hand. I think its a pleasing and warm portrait.
